This fan runs, but the cord needs replacing! It was tested from a safe distance for several seconds, and then we shut power off to it. It does run on all three speeds. It is a bit noisy, especially when it is coasting after electricity was cut. It did not seem to oscillate during the few seconds it ran. We noticed that the top thumb bolt spins, as if it wants to oscillate. This is one of the bigger, more rare brass blade fans. It is overall 20 tall. The blade cage is 17 wide. There are four blades and three speeds. There are scratches, cuffs and parts of the fan has some rust. The cord is in disrepair and needs replacing if you are to operate. This fan needs some cleaning and probably some mechanical repairs, especially the old and frayed electrical cord. It needs a light restoration, but the gorgeous brass blades and the 20 cage are really straight. They will shine beautifully once again with some tlc! All the joints seem to be free with nothing seized, that I could see. You agree by purchasing this fan, that you are aware of the condition of this rare find. You understand and agree that It needs repair or restoration before it should be used. You understand that by using it as-is, there is a great risk of being shocked. It is not recommended to use until repaired. PLEASE DO NOT PLUG THIS FAN IN UNTIL IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED! It is quite the heavy piece, I must warn you. It’s about 25 pounds! I hope I’ve been as clear and transparent as possible!
