Antique Early 1900’s General Electric Table Top Fan
Antique Early 1900’s General Electric Table Top Fan. GE Table Top fan in fantastic condition. To think that this fan survived 2 World Wars is astounding to me. I aquired it from a friend who’s Grandfather gave it to him and he had no use for it. I was amazed to find that everything was working perfectly when I turned it on. It has 3 speeds and you can adjust it up and down and side to side. It is not an oscilating fan. I had it appraised and was told it was from when GE was making thier first table top fans in 1901. It is made of Brass which the appraiser told me DO NOT clean it and to leave that up to whomever was interested in purchasing it. The fan weighs about 15 lbs and the blades are 16 inches in diameter. I’ve included pictures of close ups of the Plate that gives the serial number and other identification numbers as well as the speed indicator and lever to control speed. Which is all in perfect working condition. Tha cage around the fan has very wide openings so you must use caution when operating this fan. I do not advise you operate the fan with children or pets around it. The appraiser told me that it was a very good fan from that era and that it is highly collectible and worth a high price especially because of how well it still works. I hope that you enjoy it and take care of it. It is truly amazing to me to have something that has seen so many years of change in the World. If you are a true collector of these fans I think you will be very pleased with it. Please message me if you have any questions.
