This fantastic 1940’s Air Castle ceiling fan has a chrome Zeppelin or torpedo inspired motor casing with four chrome fins. The chrome cage has a 32 diameter. Triple aluminum curved scythe blades. The fan has two speeds controlled by a chain pull switch. These large air circulators were used in upscale department stores before the days of air conditioning. As I recall this fan came from an Indianapolis department store. It is hung using a included bracket that can be fit to a conventional ceiling fan drop pole with bolt holes drilled in the pole. Chrome drop poles are available in many lengths from many vendors. The entire fan assembly weighs around 42 pounds. For the last 20-25 years this fan was used in a fancy British car restoration shop in Houston. The last photo shows the adaptor bracket that bolts to the fan. Can be picked up locally.
