1920 GE WHIZ 9 Brass Blade Oscillating Fan. Restored by AFCA member. This fan runs and oscillates very smooth. One blade has small nicks. Oscillator ring has casting flaw. New period style wiring and power cord. Cleaned/oiled motor and bearings. New Wick and oil. All original except for items listed in restoration. Head wire new to windings and is soldered and shrink wrapped. The 9 Desk Fan was first produced in 1915 with a GE badge. In 1918 the Whiz badge appeared. The on off switch was first seen on the 1920 fan. GE continued the Whiz until around 1928. The 9 Desk fan reappeared in the 1930’s with the GE badge again. Must have a U. PLEASE view pictures as they are a part of the description…. I can not be responsible for the design safety of these fans, especially guarding, which is inherent in their early designs.
