Emerson 11644 Antique Fan Fluted Base 8 Brass Blade/Cage

Emerson model 11644 antique fan. Blade and cage are brass, blade is 8″, base is cast iron with fluting 6″ diameter, total height is 12, heavy, weighing in 10 1/2 lbs. Limited production made in 1910. When plugged in it hums but does not start. I wasn’t persistent, didn’t leave the switch to either on…
