Antique 1920’s Levelle Retractable Birdwing Ceiling Fan Chandelier Light Fixture
For your consideration an antique 1920’s fan. Found in an old former hotel/saloon building in Kansas City. Motor/blades still turn by hand. Blades are made to open when in use and retract when not. Retracting mechanism works properly. When the fan is turned on, the centrifugal force causes the blades to extend outwards until they are fully extended. I’m assuming it was wired with a switch to run the lights and the fan separately. Is untested and will need rewired to work properly. It measures overall with the blades in 16″ in diameter and with the blades out 33″ in diameter and about 22 in height overall with the hanger. Weighs about 35 pounds. Has the original ceiling hanging hook and finial on the bottom. Please examine pictures for condition. I’ve never seen one before. Thank you for looking.
