Working Vintage GE General Electric Vortalex Metal Cage Oscillating desk Fan. All 3 speeds of the fan work. There is minimal noise. The fan oscillates left and right once the silver knob was loosened from its most tight position. There are 3 screws not present on the base (please check the pictures). I’m not an expert on fans, but this model fan can be searched in the National Archives, for your further research. The removal of the screws and the modernity of the power cord make me think that the wiring has been made in an effort to make it electrically safe. I’m not an expert on fans, but, I ran the fan for 45 minutes. It operated w/out an issue. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have & Ill do my best to answer or demonstrate.
