Antique GE 12 Pancake Motor Fan, Swivel-Trunnion, Motor Patent 1890, Runs Great. This is a very nice GE Pancake motor fan. The latest patent number listed is 1890. The motor is set on a swivel-trunnion base. There is no “notched clamp” on the trunnion where the brass wing bolts are tightened. Overall the unit is in very, very good condition. Please read the following descriptions and if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask. I will answer you quickly. It runs very smoothly and without problems (I ran it for about ½ hour). The on-off switch in the rear (which looks to have ½ of the finger tab missing, see photos) clicks ON then clicks again, then a third time with a noticeable speed change, then off. The power cord has been upgraded with modern replicas of the cord and plug (for safety purposes). The blade runs true and has no damage, some tarnish and small oxidation spots. The whole unit was cleaned lightly. The original paint is still on although there are wear spots on the high points of the base and some gone from areas of the housing see photos. The motor could use a good blowing out. The cage has tarnish and could use a cleaning. Most of the S wires have broken free at the solder where they wrap around the rear cage ring (see photo 9). 4 of the S wires have broken free from the solder on the rear of the cage GE badge (see photo 12). There are a few speckles of white paint on a few places (probably from an old house painting jobs years ago, see see GE badge photo 10). The item(s) pictured is/are the item(s) that you will receive.
