Antique CENTURY S-3 Model 15 Skeletal Fan, Brass Blade and Cage, For Restoration
Century 12 S-3 Model 15 Oscillator Circa Late Teens. This is a Century “Skeletal” fan with excellent original paint and good brass cage and blade. (one cage S-wire is broken). The motor and fan are untested. For parts or restoration. I took resistance readings between the three head wires and they were A-B 158.6 ohms, A-C 29.9, B-C 187.8 so there are no “opens”. Please look at all the photos carefully and ask questions. The head wire appears to be the original. The base pan is. When the blade is spun the oscillator disc does not move which may be a missing part in the gearbox. The neck swivel is wobbly and will need tightening or repair. The rotor and stator appear to be clean. And original but have not been out of the motor for a closer look. The oil cup will need a spring and new wick. The motor tag reads Alternating Current Fan, Century Electric Co. Frame S3, Model 15, No. The fan weighs 18 pounds and is 18″ tall, 13″ wide, and 10 deep. I have seen what poor packing can do to old fans and take steps so you. Will get the fan with no damages.
