Rare Large Antique Brass Blade Cast Iron Mesco Manhattan Electric Fan, NR.. My mother always said, things come in threes. This weekend we will be listing three antique Electric Fans. Made by the Manhattan Electrical Supply Company of New York, this “MESCO” Electric Fan is fresh to the market. The cage measures 18″ in diameter and the brass blade measures 16 ¼”. You can see some wear to the original enamel paint on the 8 ½” diameter base and the brass label at the top reads, “Manhattan Electrical Supply Co. New York Chicago St. Louis 110 Volts A.. In the close up photographs you will see a couple of restorable problems. The top brace, which connects the cage to the top of the motor, is broken right at the screw. Also, one of the wire supports, between the front and the back of the cage has broken. There are no other problems or restorations and my photographer was so impressed with how strong this fan was, she had to call others to feel it..
