Exceptionally attractive Regency-inspired cane and ash wood upholstered window or entryway bench with classic lines and timeless appeal. The colorful kilim-type pattern upholstery weight fabric on the seat bench and two bolster pillows is done in soft neutral hues (sage, aqua, apricot on an off white background) that will complement most any décor. Crafted from solid ash wood with rounded and curved caned insert side arm panels; dome top capped rounded concave reeded fluted legs are tapered and end in arrow feet. All around bench apron, accented on both front and back with a whimsical floral and foliate carved decorative accent. Stain finish is a soft taupe or almond tan type hue with hints of cocoa artfully brushed throughout. Though we do not know who the maker is we are certain it was made in the United States and its look-and-feel and construction is in the manner of a fine bench made Baker Furniture, Ethan Allen or Fine Arts Furniture Company. This beauty measures 37½” x 18½ x 27½” W/D/H; seat to floor 18½”; upholstered bench seat 33” x 17½” W/D; caned side arm panel 9” x 18” H/D apiece; weight is approximately 20 to 25 lbs. In excellent condition with age-appropriate wear. Use wear though minimal is visible to the bench upholstery on one side (worn through in a few spots see photos 7 & 8). The bench cushion while still supple and firm, has a slight indentation in the center (see all photos and specifically photo 11) from sitting which I have attempted to capture. It is minimal and difficult to see and in no way does this affect the bench’s beauty or utility.
