Antique 1917 Emerson No 24668 Oscillating 3-Speed Motor 6-Blade Electric Fan.. The nickel plaque on the back of this antique, early 20. Century 6-Blade Fan identifies it as being made by the Emerson Electric Mfg Co and as a model No. 24668, which dates it to 1917-18. This antique Eletric Motor Fan has a serial number of A46741 and a 17 inch diameter cage. You can see in my photographs that this antique Cast Iron & Brass Fan does have wear to the six, 6 3/4″ by 4 1/2″ brass blades, as well as the black enameled, cast iron base. We were the first in a long time to plug this fan using the original wiring. This Emerson began to run, slowly at first, but once it picked up it ran perfectly and quietly. They just don’t make them like this any more. We guarantee with a little oil, this fan will run perfectly and is ready to go to work this summer.
